I ended up using it pretty much daily. for me it started with one specific app that refused to work from my country, and I didn’t want a huge complicated setup. I grabbed https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.toggle.vpn on Android just because it looked minimal, and somehow it stuck. now I mostly keep it for public Wi-Fi and for those moments when a site hangs on some endless “checking your browser” screen. it’s literally one tap, no account, so I don’t overthink it — turn on, do my stuff, then forget it’s even running in the background. speed drops a bit sometimes, but nothing critical for scrolling and streaming.

I try not to install too many random tools, clean up permissions once in a while, and avoid logging into important accounts on sketchy networks. plus I always check what an app wants access to before hitting “allow everything”. that alone already cuts a lot of weird behavior and unexpected pop-ups, so I don’t feel the phone turning into a circus over time.
